JB Baird is a family run farm of mixed arable, livestock, broiler chickens and laying hens set over 600 acres.
With a history of diversification and innovation the farm is attempting to bridge the gap between farming and energy.
With this in mind they contacted the Scottish Biofuel programme to look at the feasibility of the design and build of an onsite Pyrolysis unit to produce heat for chicken production and renewable energy from the syngas.
